
2018 Scholarship Program
The LOMA Society of South Central Texas offers their scholarship program to achieve the following:

Promote interest and involvement in the society

Contribute to a larger segment of the community

Help with the educational pursuits of family members of a society member
-
Provide an additional benefit to society members through financial support
-
Meet the OSA scholarship requirement to sponsor a scholarship program for college/university students
Scholarship Details

Scholarship Amount: $500.00
-
Deadline to Submit: Monday, December 10, 2018 (by 11:59 PM CST)
Qualification Requirements
Scholarship applicants who meet requirements (1) and (2) listed below should click the Apply Online button to submit an application.
College / University Students
- Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours) for Spring and Fall semesters.
LOMA Society of South Central Texas Family Member

Be enrolled as a full-time student (minimum of 12 hours) for Spring and Fall semesters.

Family member of a LOMA Society of South Central Texas Member that is pursuing a college degree.

NOTE: For the purposes of this scholarship, a family member is defined as a spouse, child (biological, stepchild, or adopted), or a person to whom you are the legal guardian.
LOMA Society of South Central Texas Members
- Be enrolled with a minimum of:
- 6 semester hours (if qualifying as an Undergraduate student)
- 3 semester hours (if qualifying as a Graduate student)
- LOMA Society of South Central Texas Member pursuing a college degree
- Employed in the Financial Services industry.
(1) Scholarship applicants must meet ALL of the following standard requirements:

Student at ANY fully accredited, 4-year institution of post-secondary education

Must have Junior, Senior, or Graduate student status as of Fall 2018 Semester
-
Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
-
Pursuing an educational program preparatory to a career in the Financial Services industry.

Finance

Computer Science

Information Systems

Have a record of academic success

However, a genuine interest in a chosen field and the ability to clearly express career ambitions are more critical factors than high grades.

Must NOT be a board member, related to a board member, or be a member of the Scholarship Committee of the LOMA Society of South Central Texas.
(2) Scholarship applicants must meet ONE of the following candidate type requirements:
